Mathematics Teacher (Senior Calculus)

Location: Palmerston North

This decile 4 secondary school based in Palmerston North seeks a Mathematics teacher who has the ability to teach Calculus to senior levels. The school, which features a vibrant and diverse student community of over 650 students, has strong links with the Te Wānanga o Aotearoa Waikato and University College of Learning (UCOL) to support students' career and subject choices.

Success is widely recognised and celebrated in academic, cultural, arts and sporting activities. NCEA Level 1 and 2 results are above the national figures, and Māori student achievement is in line with their peers. In addition, the school places particular emphasis on establishing positive relationships across the school.

You will be an inspiring Mathematics teacher with a particular gift in teaching Calculus who believes in focussing on both engagement and achievement for students. You may be a beginning teacher or you may be a more experienced teacher, but either way you need to be a teacher who enjoys working in a collegial and supportive atmosphere.
