Head of Department, Physics Teacher - Auckland, NZ

Aorere College, a co-educational, state secondary school located in South Auckland, is looking for an experienced, passionate educator to lead the Science department, with Physics teaching responsibilities from Junior to Senior levels. The right candidate requires Science (Physics) teaching experience. This permanent role is set for a Term 1, January 2018 start.

You will enjoy working in a well-resourced Science department of ten staff, and have pleasure in teaching in modern facilities with a strong support network behind you. The Aorere College Science Department endeavours to develop the curiosity of students in the wonders of Science through their vast array of subjects and topics, including generalist science for younger students, followed by biochemical, physical, and investigative sciences, as well as biology, chemistry, physics and physics for trades.

Science is well liked by the students at Aorere College.  Students are excelling in this area and as Head of Department you will be influential in the further increase of this positive momentum.

Aorere College’s co-educational, multi-cultural context creates a rich learning environment for its 1500 students from Year 9 – Year 13 (Age 13 – 18).
