We are seeking a Test Engineer specializing in product testing and compliance. This role will ensure that products developed or managed have been tested to agreed test plans and relevant national / international standards. This important role supports the Hardware Design Verification effort and will contribute to the business' best practice of ensuring efficient, safe and reliable systems, through regulatory compliance.
Using detailed knowledge of standards and industry best practices, engineering guides and testing disciplines towards the goal of standards compliance
Interfacing with Nationally Recognized Testing Labs (NRTLs) to coordinate regulatory testing
Gaining regulatory agency approvals for product by demonstrating product compliance with standards
Contributing to the effort to gain and maintain self-certification status
Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
What you will need:
Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years recent experience in compliance testing of photovoltaic systems or power supplies in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited environment.
Working knowledge of relevant standards: IEC/UL61010, UL1741, C22.2, CFR47 part 15, IEEE1547, EN50065, EN61730, IEC61000 series, IEC61683, IEC62116, EN50530, IEC 62109 series, AS/NZS4777 series and other relevant standards.
Working knowledge of National and International regulations.
