Our partners New Zealand Skills in Demand are seeking a Unit Coordinator for a fantastic role at a well-established facility.

Key responsibilities:  

  • To effectively manage the unit  

  • Ensure compassionate and excellent care is provided to residents

  • Build a strong team of kind, trained and highly motivated staff

  • Coordinate frequent GP visits for assessment and review of resident’s general health and medication

  • Ensure accurate and precise documentation of all other nursing records, incident reports and medication records

  • Act as an advocate for each resident and ensure the resident is aware of their own rights regarding treatment

  • Encourage and support residents, relatives, visitors and staff at all times

  • Be involved with staff development and performance reviews alongside the Clinical Manager

About you:

  • Previous age care experience preferred

  • Strong empathy and patience with residents

  • Fantastic communication and leadership skills

  • Friendly, professional and approachable manner 

Potential salary would be $80 - $85k for a 40 bed unit.
