Our partners New Zealand Skills in Demand are seeking a Unit Coordinator for a fantastic role at a well-established facility.
To effectively manage the unit
Ensure compassionate and excellent care is provided to residents
Build a strong team of kind, trained and highly motivated staff
Coordinate frequent GP visits for assessment and review of resident’s general health and medication
Ensure accurate and precise documentation of all other nursing records, incident reports and medication records
Act as an advocate for each resident and ensure the resident is aware of their own rights regarding treatment
Encourage and support residents, relatives, visitors and staff at all times
Be involved with staff development and performance reviews alongside the Clinical Manager
Previous age care experience preferred
Strong empathy and patience with residents
Fantastic communication and leadership skills
Friendly, professional and approachable manner
Potential salary would be $80 - $85k for a 40 bed unit.
