Requirements:

  • You will need at lease 2 years experience post qualification and have experience installing cable trays and plastic/steel trunking/ conduit

    You must also supply a CV. You must also be able to provide written references and an oral reference will be taken as part of the process.

  • Industrial / commercial background is ideal

  • You’ll need your own tools

You need to have full NZ registration to apply for this role. If you do not yet have EWRB registration you can complete the full registration course in London (details can be seen here - http://gbconstructiontraining.com/ and the course costs £1500.)

Electrician Positions 2018 - New Zealand

Our partners New Zealand Skills in Demand are seeking qualified Electricians for full-time permanent roles in cities such as Christchurch, Auckland and Tauranga. They offer a free service to place candidates in NZ roles. 

You will be involved in residential, commercial and infrastructure projects (depending on experience) – both maintenance and installation.

In order to work in New Zealand, you will first need to illustrate sufficient electrical qualifications and at least four years fulltime relevant work experience. The process for registration is overseen by the New Zealand Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB).

A CV is a must. You must also be able to provide written references and an oral reference will be taken as part of the process.

Permanent full-time contracts are on offer. You will be “on the books” as opposed to working self-employed meaning you will enjoy 4 weeks paid annual leave, and your employer pays a levy to cover health insurance and contributes to your retirement savings scheme

Starting rate for qualified Electricians in New Zealand is $26- $30 NZD per hour and will increase according to skills, experience and qualifications.

You will likely need a vehicle to transport yourself to your worksite.

Electrician being sought for a position in Switchboard & Switchgear Manufacturing

Have you been assessed by the New Zealand Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) but don’t yet hold New Zealand registration? The client is New Zealand’s leading switchboard manufacturer and supplier of electrical and control product, and is looking for an outstanding individual to join their New Zealand operation. They will consider non New Zealand registered electricians.

This position calls for a motivated individual to assume a role within the manufacturing and production area of the operation preferably with direct experience in the manufacture of electrical switchboards, however those who can demonstrate the necessary skills and ability should not be deterred from applying.
